I told J she should get one as a diaper bag, so that she’d have one that M wouldn’t feel silly carrying (though he seems immune to that sort of thing, as anyone who’d marry J would have to be). M’s response: “It would be nice to have a bag with a quiver built into it.” J: “No arrows around the baby!” Me: “Maybe, maybe not. You’ll be amazed at what crazy things you end up toting around in your diaper bag.”

Of course, if you want to go the budget route, we still have that Toshiba boat-anchor laptop, whose case you could repurpose. Unless it fits the PowerBook, then I might swipe it just so I have something with a handle.
