I’m not thinking “point of broadcast” so much. I just like segregating my conversations… I’m not the type to sit at the counter and chat with everyone, I’m the type to get a private corner and chat with a couple people. Maybe Twitter’s not for me.

But I really think the core issue is that Twitter really lends itself to “serious” social networks. It’s not something to casually keep up with fifty of your closest net-friends as much as it is to keep up with five of your best friends. Assuming you want to know what your best friends had for dinner last night.

That, of course, is nothing like what I tried to say the first time, before the Internet ate it.

Oh… one thing that keeps coming up in my head: Twitter asks, “What are you doing?” and I’m far more interested in “What are you *thinking*?”

I just don’t like drinking coffee, is my only problem there. So I just sit around and smell it.
