Thanks! I didn’t think I’d been particularly funny lately. :)

I’m still waffling on going… I’m looking at having to drive by myself, which I’ve done before (a concert in OKC, leaving at midnight). But I *knew* I wanted to go to the concert… I’m unsure about liking the event enough to justify going for the event alone, and not for hanging out with people. And the concert didn’t require getting up at the crack of dawn. :)

Thanks on the hat… but it’s my son’s and doesn’t fit me. :) Working on my own hat in baby alpaca, but I won’t be done with the ribbing by tomorrow, let alone the whole thing. (Ack! I’d be wearing a polyester fleece hat my wife sewed for me. Can I do that at a fiber fest? Will the Wool Police be after me?)

Thanks, Calli. I’m surprised at how proud I am of that simple loom-knit hat… and my son loves his matching hat and scarf, and that’s a plus.

The cold’s not so much a problem, and the length of the trip isn’t too big deal. I’m just looking at going by myself and not having anybody to hang out with. That’s awkward going to a “guy” event, and going to an event dominated by women is even more awkward. That will probably be less awkward when I’ve got some knitting chops under my belt and I’m not a guy *and* a total newb. :)

At this point, I’m 95% planning to go.

Don’t bail on the Woolfest, it is a lot of fun! Wamego is getting only a dusting of snow, and heck, it’s indoors!! :)
